Oak was riding high, until the pandemic hit the world.Īfter a few years, it would seem that Winona Oak is ready to take the music world again with her forthcoming debut album Island of the Sun, set for release in June 2022 on Atlantic Records. Her next big hit came another collaboration, this time with The Chainsmokers for “Hope”. The song is highly praised and won them Best Independent Dance/Electronica/Club single at the AIR Independent Music Awards a year later. The singer kicked off her career with a collaboration with What So Not for “Beautiful” in early 2018. Swedish singer/songwriter Winona Oak opened the show. London duo Oh Wonder (Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West) is currently tour in support of their forthcoming album, 22 Make (set for release on July 22nd on Republic Records), stopping by First Avenue on Wednesday, May 18th.
